We were contingent, so everything was already picked out. We far exceeded our original budget. So here is what we are getting.

  1. Congratulations! Your house sounds amazing! I LOVE the Victoria Falls. We're also building in Pittsburgh. I read your son's story. What an incredible family you have! I hope that your home building journey goes smoothly and that you have a wonderful life in your new home!

  2. I have to ask, where are building in Pittsburgh? Another VF, I'm beside myself. I also didn't know that 2nd floor laundry was an option. However, if I read your explaination right, we would have lost a closet. You're a brave person, lol.

I have to be honest, I couldn't read all of Kody's story. I was diagnosed with epilepsy at the age of 2. Back then the drs gave my parents an option of giving me up because they stated I would end up mentally retarded. Well they were wrong. I'm not mentally retarded and I haven't had a seizure since I was 8. I know I'm blessed, but I wanted to share my story to give you hope. I understand his condition is more serious than mine, but my heart told me to start typing this so here I am, lol. He's an awesome boy and you have a wonderful loving family which you can see by the smile on his face. :-)

  3. Congratulations on the house! We are building a Victoria Falls also and have just started. I read Kody's story and your family must be so strong, God Bless! Best of luck with your new home!

  4. Awww Thank you guys so much! My kids are my life! Kody just had his hips, arm and ankles done and while in rehab at the childrens institute they broke his femur! I really need this change. He just went back to school yesterday after 4 months. I am a little worried about interest rates right now! We are building in Washington county in majestic hills! We are losing some of our closet in one of the 2 master bedroom closets. No big deal...not used to having a big closet anyways and had to lose the laundry on 1st floor because that will be Kodys full bath connected to his bedroom!

  5. WOW!!!! Congrats on the new house, but more important I applaud you and your family for being so strong. Kody sounds like an amazing boy. Good Luck with building your new house and GOOD LUCK to Kody and your family!!!

  6. Thank you BD! I love your house! Been following your blog! Good luck to you as well....and kody is more than amazing, I am so blessed to have him! <3
